If you’ve driven FM 1488 lately, you’ve seen it. Community Impact reported that more than 80 businesses have opened along FM 1488 between Abney Lane and Hwy. 242 since 2022, while TxDOT works to widen the road. The commercial cluster at FM 1488 and Spur 149—Magnolia Place with its H-E-B, and Magnolia Village across the road—keeps adding offices, clinics, and retail, including a Memorial Hermann medical office building planned at Magnolia Village.
